It is with deep sadness that I inform you of the passing of our Brother Emanuel” Manny” Parais on May 13, 2023. Manny, the Chief Photographer for Telemundo 47, joined IBEW local 1212 in 1983 after being hired by WNJU. He was a long-term member of our negotiating committee, where his insight and experience were greatly valued. Manny, good-natured and kind, was respected by all who knew him. The world is a lesser place without him. We have lost a Brother, and true friend …..May God bless Manny and family in this most difficult time.

It is with deep sorrow that I inform you of the sudden passing of Local 1212 Executive Board member, Frank Dulzaides on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at the age of fifty-five.
During his 30-year tenure as a member of Local 1212, he embodied the spirit of organized labor, fighting tirelessly for his fellow union brothers and sisters. At WXTV, Univision, he was employed as an ENG technician, and was a member of the negotiating committee and a shop steward who mentored fellow technicians and encouraged them to become more active in the Local. In 2015 he expanded his focus beyond WXTV and successfully ran for a position on the Local 1212 Executive Board.
Frank loved to cover the local news. He was an Edward R. Murrow and Emmy award winning news photographer and editor. He was immensely proud of his work and his co-workers that collaborated with him. From press conferences to breaking news, Frank covered it all.
Frank’s role in the Union and as a photographer for Univision was still just a small piece of who he was. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Our hearts and prayers go out to Frank’s family during this incredibly difficult time. Frank’s cheerful outlook, memorable laugh and kind demeanor will be missed by all who knew him.
I thank you for your friendship and support through the years. I will miss you.
It is with deep regret that I inform you of the passing of Brother David Saviet.

The street IBEW 1212 is scheduled to meet is on 45th street between 5th and 6th avenue. The parade will go up 5th avenue (normal route) uptown and we are expected to go off at 11am. Phil was elected to the IBEW Local 1212 Executive Board in 2009 and served on the CBS Negotiating Committee.
