It is with deep sorrow that we recognize the passing of Brother Richard Ross. While we mourn this loss, we also reflect on the lasting impact he made within IBEW Local 1212 and beyond.
Richard was a man who wore many hats with pride and purpose—serving as an Executive Board Member, a skilled engineer in the radio industry, and a dedicated advocate for his fellow workers. His kindness, professionalism, and steady presence left a mark on all who had the privilege to know him.
He was more than a colleague; he was a brother in every sense of the word. An IBEW member since 1963, Richard stood firmly in support of the labor movement and worked tirelessly to uplift those around him. His contributions as a bargaining unit member at WADO-AM in Teaneck, NJ demonstrated his commitment to fairness, solidarity, and the well-being of his peers.
Above all, Richard will be remembered for his generous spirit, his integrity, and the quiet strength with which he carried himself. His legacy will live on through the work he championed and the lives he touched.
We extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and all who mourn his passing. Brother Ross will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
*Brother Richard Ross will have a celebration of life hosted by his Daughter Erica Ross on April 12, 2026. A link has been posted if you wish to comment on Richard’s contributions throughout his life.
The Union extends their wishes to Richard’s family. May his spirit live on.
