Dear Brothers and Sisters,
It is with deep sorrow that I inform you of the passing of Brother Elliot Greenblatt. Elliot passed away April 19, 2019 at the age of 89. His career In broadcasting spanned more than half a century, during which time he served both the IBEW and CBS with honor and integrity.
Throughout his 52 year tenure at CBS, he worked on numerous award winning shows for news, sports and entertainment. He was a stalwart support of Local 1212, serving on the Executive Board, as a Shop Steward and on negotiating committees.
I am thankful to have known him and for his dedication to Local 1212. I will miss his friendship and his guidance.
Elliot is survived by his wife Lilly, his son Gregg, daughter Mara and four grandchildren.
May God bless Elliot Greenblatt. He will be truly missed.
