11/20/18 – Hyphenate was re-assigned to another studio. Union reviewing matter to see if additional bodies are needed for Studio 46.
11/20/18 – Member on temporary discharge. Union asked for meeting to be rescheduled after Nov 21st cancellation. Matter ongoing.
NEWS:
10/17/18 – Member agreed to settlement during Arbitration meeting. Member reached out to BM on 12/6 regarding settlement agreement. Union reviewing letter. Matter ongoing.
11/06/18 – Grievance filed with Company over non-bargained employee being upgraded to work solely as a technician. Matter possibly going to ICAP.
CBS LIBRARIANS
11/02/18 – BM spoke with member . Union is reviewing matter for potential employment back in unit.
12/05/18 – BM spoke committee member over upcoming negotiations. Contract expires end of this year. Union and Labor Relations looking to secure dates.
HBO:
11/26/18 – CEO of Warner Media Joe Stankey addressed changes to leadership structure in memo to HBO employees in light of the AT&T/ Time Warner merger.
12/4/18 – Contract extension for 1 year was overwhelming ratified by the members. Contract is now good thru October of 2019 with retro payment back to this October and a wage increase.
FOX SPORTS:
Ratification vote on two-year extension passed.
11/18/18 – (Site Visit) BM & BR met with members and management at Metlife stadium, home to Giants vs Bucs. Week 11 of NFL.
12/01/18 – (Site Visit) BR met with Members and Management at the Prudential Center, Seton Hall vs Louisville on Fox Sports.
12/02/18 – (Site Visit) BM met with Members and Management in the Broadcast Center; Week 13 of the NFL season. BR met with members and management at Metlife stadium, home to Giants vs Bears.

12/01/18 – (Site Visit) BM met with Members at the Prudential Center, Seton Hall vs Louisville.
12/05/18 – Member raised concern about overtime in the agreement. Union and counsel reviewing the agreement. Matter ongoing.
WCBS Radio/ Entercom:
12/3/18 – International posted an email that negotiations will be rescheduled. Dates and times are TBD.
WFAN/ WINS:
11/27/18 – Steward notified Union that Entercom will be giving employees an extra floating Holiday. Union reviewing matter.
11/30/18 – BR and Counsel held a Conference Call with Committee to discuss an extension. Matter ongoing.
OFFICE:
11/08/18 – Sean Dugan of the Flex Plan will be available on December 11th and the 14th to all freelance members. Information has been posted.
11/28/18 – Compliance webinar with the International & Crewing update with Fox.
11/30/18 – Eligible News 12 Long Island employees will vote on representation by Local 1212 for the purposes of collective bargaining. Local 1212 agreed to a Stipulated Election to be conducted on 12/13 and 12/14 at the News 12 station.
12/01/18 – IBEW President Emeritus Hill passed away.

11/08/18 – BR spoke with Sean Dugan of the Flex Plan. Sean Dugan will be available to members on 12/11 at CBS & 12/14 at the Union Office.
SPORTS:
10/17/18 – BM/ BR met with HR and member conducting investigation on 9/14/18. No discipline, and no warning letter. Counsel spoke to member on 11/01. Matter ongoing.
10/19/18 – BM/ BR met with member over loss in schedule. Matter ongoing.
10/22/18 – Discussion between International, BM, Company and Labor Relations regarding grievance filed by Union on September 24th. Matter ongoing.
11/11/18 – (Site Visit) BM met with Members and Management in the Broadcast Center. BR met with members and management at MetLife stadium to discuss various issues.
WCBS:
10/26/18 – Steward notified BR of incident between members. HR is currently investigating the matter.

10/17/18 – After meeting with member over Arbitration preparation. Both sides have reached an agreement. Matter is now closed.
10/22/18 – HR meeting was held on 10/27 with BR attending. Labor Relations sent over memo on October 31st closing out the HR investigation. Matter ongoing.
10/30/18 – VP of News met with members all week to go over expectations in the department within Field/ ENG.

COE:
11/02/18 – COE is now joining a unified organization, CBS Tech, spans IT and other digital platforms and engineering. CTO Phil Wiser who comes over from Hearst Communications to spearhead the department.
11/07/18 – BM spoke with Line Producer on Parade to review final crewing list and logistics for Thanksgiving Day at Black Rock and Columbus Circle.
CBS LIBRARIANS:
10/22/18 – BM spoke with Labor Relations over technical work to be done by bargaining unit. Matter ongoing.
11/02/18 – BM spoke with member who was recently laid off. Union is reviewing matter.
HBO:
10/11/18 – Counsel, BR and Committee met with Management. A tentative extension of one year to October 2019 was agreed upon.
10/18/18 – BM, Counsel, BR and Committee met with members at the Hauppauge facility to review the extension to the current agreement.
10/19/18 – BM, Counsel, BR and Committee met with members at the NYC Studio facility to review the extension to the current agreement. Counsel and attorney from company working on Memorandum of Agreement.
10/25/18 – BR, Member and Steward meeting with Management on 30-day checkup. Matter ongoing.

10/11/18 – (Site Visit) Thursday Night Football. BM met with members and management at MetLife stadium to discuss various issues.

09/27/18 – Station committed to safety training. A company-wide training course as well as an ENG safety course for all photographers was held at the station.
11/05/18 – Shop Steward notified Company and Union that she is retiring from Telemundo 47.

10/23/18 – BM, BR, Counsel holding a conference call with committee to review company’s counter on current negotiations. Proposal would run to February 2021.
Entercom:
11/02/18 – International notified BM that negotiations will continue on December 7th, 2018. Matter ongoing.

10/02-10/04 – BM along with reps from 1212 met with Management in Baltimore to go over the current plans in News, Sports and COE in the upcoming months. Talk of safety in the field was discussed for the upcoming midterm elections. Sports also mentioned its plans for Super Bowl 53 as well as the NCAA Tournament, Masters and PGA Champ all in 2019.

09/04/18 – HR alerted Union that member who was on leave will be back September 10th.
09/20/18 – BM spoke with Committee after talking with Company on current ongoing negotiations. Union and Company will meet with the company on October 11th, with expected shop visits with membership to follow. Matter ongoing.
FOX SPORTS:
09/23-09/27/18 – BM along with reps from the International and fellow Business Managers from Fox Sports National Agreement entered bargaining sessions in Los Angeles. Deal currently expires July 31, 2019.
10/01/18 – Ballots for ratification of a tentative 2-year extension will be mailed.
WPIX:
08/28/18 – Grievance sent to the Union. Union reviewing matter. Grievance was filed on 9/10/18 to the company.
09/17/18 – Grievance sent to the Union. Grievance was filed on 9/20/18 to the company.

08/17/18 – Company issued policy on Sports Gambling to all CBS Sports and CBS Sports Network employees. Union reviewing policy.
08/21/18 – (Site Visit) BM and BR did a site visit to the Northern Trust in Paramus, NJ. Met with members, stewards and management.
08/30/18 – BR spoke with HR about member inquiring about maternity leave as a 403g member. Matter closed.
08/31/18 – Member who worked Northern Trust payment was incorrect. Company has corrected.
09/01/18 – Member notified BR that employees working for SMT/ 1st &10 didn’t receive pay. Payment has been corrected.
WCBS:

7/19/18 – (Site Visit) BM/ BR did a visit to Baltustrol Golf Course in Springfield, NJ site of the Men’s Junior Amateur. Met with members and management.
08/02/18 – IBEW–FS Sports Labor/Management Conference Call Meeting is set for 2:30pm EST on August 13.

08/01/18 – Ratification passed with membership. The deal is a 3-year that will extend to 2020. Members were given retro payment.
TEAM PEOPLE:
07/02/18 – BM, BR, Counsel held a shop meeting at the Union Office prior to ratification vote. Mailings will be going out and are due back by July 19.
07/19/18 – Vote passed at the Union Office for an extension to the current agreement. Members will get signing bonuses and Holiday pay language adjusted in the agreement.

6/25/18 – BM spoke with Management over the contract being signed and executed. Committee is reviewing agreement, matter ongoing.
7/13/18 – Member raised safety concerns regarding ENG field crews. BM and BR had a call with Management and spoke with the members on the 17th. On August 8th, Union & company agreed they will meet on 8/20 at the station. Matter ongoing.
7/18/18 – Retro adjustment on members who didn’t receive proper wage scales during term of the prior agreement will be paid August 10th. The remaining members will be paid end of the month. Matter ongoing.
08/08/18 – Company notified Union of two new staff hires. Both will be working in the Operations department and start dates will be August 20th.
WXTV:
07/09/18 – Counsel confirmed next round of negotiations will be at the Union Office on 7/20.
07/17/18 – Shop Steward notified BR that the company has begun to speak with members whose buyout offer was accepted. Matter ongoing.
07/20/18 – Negotiations continued at the Union Office. No date set yet for new meeting.
08/01/18 – Members who accepted the buyout would receive severance and additional 3 months of medical.
PRUDENTIAL CENTER:
08/06/18 – Company informed Union of 22 new hires to the facility.
WCBS Radio/ Entercom:
08/10/18 – Conference call to discuss negotiations with Entercom and current NY local agreements. Matter ongoing.

07/13/18 – Counsel informed BM that he has already spoken with the attorney from Entercom on meeting to negotiate the three expired local radio agreements. Matter ongoing.

07/30/18 – IBEW Local 1212 moved its offices to its new home. Same building, same floor on the 11th but down the hall. Staff should be recognized for its efforts executing the move.

06/20/18 – BM reached out to Labor Relations to inquire about 3.03c status upgrade. Employee was converted from Temp to Staff 3.03c. BM also worked with member’s anniversary date to top scale elevation.

06/12/18 – Arbitrator ruled in favor of the company, allowing members to be transferred from the Studios to the Communications Center or accept an enhanced package to leave.
06/15/18 – Union held conference call to review the findings by the arbitrator’s rulings.
06/25/18 – BM, BR had a conference call to go over upcoming negotiation talks & seniority and operational section groupings in HCC. Matter ongoing.
06/28/18 – Union received seniority and sectional list of Studio. Members reviewing with Steward and Union on accuracy. Matter ongoing.

05/17/18 – (Site Visit) BR met with E-Board Member and members up in Graphics – 17th floor of 555 building.
WCBS:
03/30/18 – BM & BR spoke to Steward about Master Control. Shop Steward notified BM/ BR that lights out for Master Control is May 15, now extended till end of May.
05/18/18 – ABM and Steward called BM over cancellation of shift for the May 19. Union asked Company to pay member. Matter resolved.
NEWS:
03/21/18 – Union received information request for pending Arbitration. Union has accepted September 20. That date was denied by company, looking for future dates.
